The airfield consists of three air carrier runways and a general aviation runway. Salt Lake City International Airport is located five miles northwest of downtown Salt Lake City. TRAX is electrically powered via a pantograph that connects the train to overhead catenary wires. TRAX runs seven days per week, with 15-minute frequency during peak times. TRAX, UTA’s light rail system, offers convenient connections to community destinations, shopping centers, schools and universities, FrontRunner stations, bus hubs and Park & Ride lots throughout the Salt Lake valley.
